Victor.jpg (23240 bytes) The Victor Fire Department accepted this custom Smeal Fire Apparatus pumper in April of 2000. It features a 1500 gpm pump with a 1500 fiberglass tank.  The chassis is a Spartan Gladiator with a Cummins 400 horsepower engine and an Allison automatic transmission. MunnsPix.jpg (60010 bytes) The Munnsville Fire Department, Munnsville, NY in Madison County took delivery of this Har-Rob Fire Apparatus 2000 gallon polypropylene body tanker in September 2000. edurham.JPG (36784 bytes) The E. Durham Vol. Fire Dept., Greene County, Durham, New York took delivery of their new Smeal side mount pumper in August of 2000. The unit has a 1250 two stage pump and 1000 gallon tank, oversized hose bed. The chassis is an HME SFO with 350 Cummins engine & auto transmission. Contact John Harris, Jr. for information.
parrish.JPG (153297 bytes) The Parish Fire Department accepted this Smeal Fire Apparatus 75' Quint in August of 2000. An HME chassis, 1500 gpm pump and Smeal's patented EHL hose load were incorporated into it's design. TroutCreek.jpg (107666 bytes) The Trout Creek FD, Town of Tompkins, Delaware County, NY took delivery of their Smeal top mount pumper in November of 2000.  The International chassis will drive this 1250 gpm pumper with 1250 CFP water tank.  The Trout Creek Truck Committee and their Fire Commissioners worked hard to design a vehicle that fits their needs now and in the future. Some features are an oversized hose bed, deck gun, large diameter discharge, Newton dump valve and slide out trays. Details can be obtained from Sales Rep Wayne Carpenter.
Avoca.jpg (194569 bytes) The Avoca Fire Dept. of Steuben County, New York took delivery on their EVI 16' walk-in rescue in December of 2000. The apparatus was being built on an FL-70 Freightliner w/300 hp engine and auto transmission, the truck has a 25 kw hydraulic generator and many other features. The top mount pumper features a hydraulic ladder rack, FoamPro foam system and roll up doors. The chassis is an HME P2 medium four door with seating for six firefighters. The Sodus Center Fire Department of Wayne County, New York has received their Smeal Volunteer 2000 top mount 1250 gpm pumper mounted on an International 4 door chassis. The unit features a 330 hp engine, auto transmission, hydraulic ladder rack and diesel generator.  The unit is the first Volunteer 2000 sold in New York State. Contact Jim Pettit for info.

The unit features a 25 kw generator, winch, underbody compartments and many shelves and underbody compartments. John Harris, Jr will answer any questions on this unit.

The Dresden Fire Department of Yates County, New York State has taken delivery of their Smeal top mount pumper/tanker with 1500 gpm pump and 1600 gallon tank. The Freightliner FL112 chassis features a 400 hp engine and automatic transmission. Other features include 8 kw generator, hyd ladder rack, dump valves and prepiped deck gun. MVC-151F.JPG (92562 bytes) Har-Rob fabricated this easy-on easy-off unit for the Maynard Fire Department of Oneida County for their new Chevrolet diesel pickup unit. Featuring a poly tank, portable pump and Hanney reel with 200' of Reeltex hose, this unit fulfills the departments need for a unit that is used only a few months per year. AuburnFd.JPG (55429 bytes) The City of Auburn, New York has taken delivery from Har-Rob of their new polypropylene bodied EMS response vehicle. Built on a Department supplied Ford F-350 chassis, the unit features full side body compartments with shelving for EMS and rescue equipment. A roof top stokes basket compartment finishes off the unit nicely. Jim Harris can answer all your questions.
MVC-347F.JPG (102237 bytes) The Sodus Center Fire Department recently upgrades their brush unit with a new Hale pump with manifold with relief valve to allow for 2 1/2" suction and 2 1/2" discharge. Also added was a new Hanney reel with 100' of Niedner ReelTex hose. The departments 150 gallon tank was reused. Further details can be found by contacting Jim Pettit, Sales Representative.
Woodbury.jpg (47526 bytes) The Woodbury Fire Department has taken delivery of their new Smeal 75' Quint powered by a Spartan Gladiator chassis with the Detroit Series 60, 470 horsepower engine. The unit features a 400 gallon tank, 1500 gpm pump and the Smeal exclusive EHL hose loading system and 18" deeper downrigger penetration. The Mumford Fire Department of Monroe County, New York has taken delivery from S & S Fire Apparatus of their new 3,000 gallon tanker. The unit features a 250 gpm transfer pump and Freightliner FL-80 chassis. Delivery was in September of 2001. Chief Jim Pochy and his committee find many uses for this versatile unit. Powered by a fire department supplied Dodge chassis with diesel engine and automatic transmission. The East Corning Fire Department has taken delivery of the Smeal/Har-Rob demo unit. This apparatus features HME SFO chassis with ISC 350 engine and MD-3066 automatic transmissions. Hydraulic ladder rack, FoamPro 2002 foam system. This unit is a rescue/pumper with 24" compartments top to bottom, roll up doors and 1500 gpm pump with 750 gallons of water. Built on a Freightliner 4 x 4 chassis, the unit will double as a front line pumper and supply apparatus. The Aurelius Fire Department has taken delivery of their new Smeal Fire Apparatus top mount pumper. A unit is powered by a Freightliner FL-80, it features a 1500 gpm single stage pump and 750 gallon fiberglass tank. The Durhamville Fire District has taken delivery of their new Smeal Fire Apparatus pumper/tanker. A side mount pumper with 1700 gallon water tank was specially designed to fit in limited space. Powered by an International 4900 chassis, the unit features side and rear dumps and folding tank rack. After showing at the New York State Chiefs show the unit was accepted and will go into service in late June. The Chittenango Fire Department, Town of Sullivan Fire District #1 in Madison County has taken delivery of their new Smeal Fire Apparatus rescue/pumper.  The chassis is an HME P2 with 350 hp Cummins engine.  A 1500 gpm pump and 1,000 gallon water tank with extended compartmentation will make this "first out" piece a versatile addition to their fleet.  The unit will be the third Smeal apparatus purchased by the department.  Drawing and specifications will be added to this site as soon as available.  For information, contact Wayne Carpenter, Sales Representative.

The Andover Fire Department of Allegany County has received  their new EVI 12' non-walk-in rescue truck.  Chassis is a Ford F550 Super Duty 4 x 4.   Body features 7 large compartments with roll-up doors, 6000 watt WilBurt light tower, cord and hydraulic reels, and a front mounted winch.  Drawings and specifications to follow.  Contact Jim Pettit for more details.
The Chenango Forks Fire Department has taken delivery of their new Smeal Fire Apparatus top mount pumper.  Chassis is an HME 6 man with 455 hp Cat engine.  Water tank is 1,000 gallons and the truck features a FoamPro Class A foam system.  1750 gpm pump, Harrison hydraulic generator, front and rear suctions and side and rear 4" discharges round out the features.  Contact Jim Mitrowitz for additional information.
No Picture Available The Ira Fire Department has selected Har-Rob Fire Apparatus to build their new mini-pumper.  A polypropylene body is being mounted on the Fire Department provided chassis.  The unit features a diesel volume/pressure pump being mounted and connected to the tank, the pump will be accessed at the rear of the body.  The rest of the body will configured for storage.  Contact Jim Harris for more information.
